It could have been Kevin

I share my name with my grandfather and so my name ends in II, the second. While I am not unhappy with my name, I did not wish to pass it on to Kevin, but if I had, he very well could have been 3.0.

I thought you'd be a "II" if you're dad was also Jesse, not your grandpaw...

Or am I confused on this naming stuff?

Generally, if you are named after your father, you would be a Junior, although you could be a II. If you are names after your GP, I believe it's always a II (unless it's a higher number - as would be the case if we named Kevin Jesse, since there is a II, he would be III).
