I could wind up wasting a lot of time playing this game...it's only really worth playing if you have a keypad.

Color me surprised...

My blog is worth $10,726.26.

Of course, it'd only really be worth anything if someone really wanted to buy it...

Indiana Jones
I haven't posted anything to this category in a while because I haven't been given to surfing to take a break from things. But I saw an interesting link today, followed it and wound up playing this game for a few moments. Nice stress relief to see the guy bouncing around the cave...especially when he's hooked to one of the small fast wheels.
Enjoy!

Earworm
Earworm is a term for a song stuck in one's head, particularly an annoying one.
Most of us have heard the Peanut Butter Jelly song and possibly even Badger Badger but evidently there's alot of them out there. Among my new favorites, Everyone Loves Chocolate, Banana Song and The Llama song.

GMail Invitations
I've got a few invitations. If anyone out there is interested in one, let me know and I'll send you an invite. Also, if you know of a good cause, I'd be happy to use the invites there. I had planned on using them at GMail4Troops but they currently have more invites than requests.
If you currently use hotmail, this is a good chance to move to something with a tad more space.

It's all in the swing - you want to make sure he slides.
If you have problems hitting him far, you can try this version but I like the first one better.

I'd like to thank the academy
I thought the chances would be next to nill (which the results are close to), but it seems like there is still a small chance I could win something.
What's Your Chance to Win a Bloggie™?
More impressive, to me, than the score was this is the only test that I've taken on line where the "paste this to your blog" uses stylesheet information rather than tables so I don't need to re-write the results.

A few tests
You are lightgoldenrodyellow
Your dominant hues are red and green, so you're definately not afraid to get in and stir things up.
You have no time for most people's concerns, you'd rather analyze with your head than be held back by
some random "gut feeling".
Your saturation level is very low - you have better things to do than
jump headfirst into every little project. You make sure your actions are going to really accomplish something
before you start because you hate wasting energy making everyone else think you're working.
Your outlook
on life is bright. You see good things in situations where others may not be able to, and it frustrates you to see
them get down on everything.

You are Kermit the Frog
You are reliable, responsible and caring. And you have a habit of waving your arms about maniacally.
FAVORITE EXPRESSIONS: "Hi ho!" "Yaaay!" and "Sheesh!"
FAVORITE MOVIE: "How Green Was My Mother"
LAST BOOK READ: "Surfin' the Webfoot: A Frog's Guide to the Internet"
HOBBIES: Sitting in the swamp playing banjo.
QUOTE: "Hmm, my banjo is wet."

What Poetry Form Are You?
Ottava rima? Me? That can't be right!
Too frivolous? But tut, there's no such thing!
Let others ponder thoughts of wrong and right,
Or sit and think how much they love the spring;
I'd rather spend my time in gleeful spite,
Or maybe laugh, or maybe sit and sing.
Besides, it might be fun to be inspiring -
But surely it would get so very tiring.

Happy Anniversary
It began with talk of going to Iraq on a snow-covered day. Lot's of snow. So much snow that we can't get out of the driveway. Not a big deal though, more time to move the server. Except, Circuit City wouldn't give us the rebates that they said they would.
So, we went to camp. It was great. We invited kids from around the neighborhood and had a rock climbing wall, Play station, and lots of interesting links to share. The down side was the stupid style sheets. Realizing there are certain things that my youth should know, I explained why I don't care. Luckily for all involved there was a special Japanese toilet available.
That's when it happened, we lost our DSL connection, causing a 26-year-old man to become so distraught that he rendered himself incontinent.
After a change in providers, there were plenty of tests. Enough tests to make myself sick, so sick even breakfast didn't help. F@&k, there are just too many questions. It was like being back in school again; beginning each day with the pledge. I couldn't take it anymore so I quit my job. Web design once again became a hobby and for a little extra money, I made some investments in the stock market.
That's when it happened, the Peek Code was cracked. I was declared old and the sex bracelets were reveled. So I bid farewell and entered the cluttered room that would soon become an office, but not before the stelth discos, a very long line, and the deaths of a mentor and a ‘friend’.
All in all a great run so far. We've learned that Good is not Good enough, heard words of wisdom, and heard from the Family Guy and Opus.
I hope you've enjoyed a peek at my life through a peek inside my head and this look back during this 100th entry.
Happy reading.

Another 'Test'
Which Biological Molecule Are You?
You are water. You're not really organic; you're neither acidic nor basic, yet you're an acid and a base at the same time. You're strong willed and opinionated, but relaxed and ready to flow. So while you often seem worthless, without you, everything would just not work. People should definitely drink more of you every day.

Beliefs
According to a rather rudimentry poll on Select Smart my religious views are:
Mainline - Conservative Christian Protestant attending an Average Nondenominational Evanglical Church
A close second would say that I am an Orthodox Quaker attending The Vinyard Association followed by Seventh Day Adventist attending an Assemblies of God church.
Oddly (or maybe not so odd), the church I am a member of, Southern Baptist, came in fifth.
If I were an angel, I would be an angel of Wisdom and of all the people in the Bible, I would be Abraham.

Friday Questions
1. Who is someone you look up to?
There's quite a few people I look up to, more than I would like to list, but chief among them is Teri, my wife.
2. When you leave this world; what do you want to be remembered for?
To be honest, I don't care if I am remembered. However, since I will be, I want to be remembered for being a good father.
3. Are there any regrets?
Of course, but I'm not going to go into it here.
4. Ephesians 4: 17 (The message) tells us to not to be going along with the crowd, the empty-headed mindless crowd. How are we to avoid this then?
Accountability and leaning more on Him than myself.
5. On a scale of 1 - 10. One being the lowest; and ten being the highest ...where would you say you are in your walk with God?
Around a 7.
6. What version of the Bible do you use most?
Lately I've been reading a lot of Da Jesus Book and portions of The Epic, but as for full versions, I would have to say the New Living Translation.
7. What is one or two sayings ...you would use or say ...hey; that would make a great slogan; retreat theme or T-shirt motto?
I say all the time that people don't care how much you know until they know how much you care. Meaning that you have to build a relationship before people are willing to hear what you have to say about any subject, including God.

Friday Questions
1. What is the most overplayed song that you have been hearing lately?
I don't really listen to much music so nothing really seems overplayed.
2. What is the most annoying sound ever?
Lately, thanks to Teri pointing out an annoying guy in our birthing class I would have to say pen-clicking.
3. Is there an annoying person in your life? If so how did you get over this person or love them as Jesus would?
I would say that I'm probably the most annoying person I know, next to that it would probably be one of the youth and I love all of them so it's not hard to be OK with it.
4. What is one movie you would definitely show as an illustration in your ministry? What is one you definitely not use?
I've used many. Titanic, Matrix, Contact...as for not using, anything NC-17 would be out, and many R movies need to much editing.
5. How often do you write your students?
E-mail, not as often as I should. Letters, somethings, but not nearly enough.
6. What is one thing you do to show you care for others?
Talk, joke, and appropriate touch.
7. In this being clergy appreciation month; how are you being appreciated; how are you showing appreciation for your pastor?
Next Sunday is our Appreciation Sunday. I'll be at the YS conference in NC so I don't think anyone will do anything on my end and as for me, I've let him know that he is appreciated.

Friday 7
I don't know that I'll continue to participate, but I've been thinking about starting to follow these Friday 7 questions and now seemed like as good a time as any to start.
1. If you had a student ask you; prove to me there is a God; what would you tell them?
I would have to tell them that I can't. Belief is just that, belief - something that you have faith in. I can show them why I believe, why science points to His existance, but I cannot prove.
2. How flexible are you?
I've never been able to do the splits, and as I've gotten older and less active, I'm not nearly as flexible as I was. Of course, youth activites tend to help on that point.
As for what I think the question is going for: I believe that I can be flexible, but for the most part I'm probably not as flexible as some would like and too flexible for others.
3. Do you know your personality type?
Sure. This blog post and this one are farily accurate assesments of my personality.
4. What do you do to relieve stress?
Watch TV or movies and get lost for a while in that world.
5. What do you do as a hobby?
TV, movies, and computers. I'm such a geek.
6. What is one thing God is doing in your life right now?
Turning my life on its ear, sort of. I feel that I am reaching the end of part of my life and about to embark on a new journey. It's scary, but I'm looking forward to what He has in store.
7. What is one thing you are thankful for?
My immediate family. There is no wife like Teri and there is no better child than Kevin.

Another Personality test...
Here's another look at who tests on the internet think that I am. All in all, these tests get somethings right and somethings wrong. It all depends on a frame of mind when you take the test.
The temperment test on-line says that I scored:
Sanguine: 0
Choleric : 5
Melancholy: 17
Phlegmatic: 18
The results according to someone's studies: is gracious and quiet, does the proper thing and is dependable. He wobbles between patience and criticism and may tend toward negativism. They can be afraid of overextending themselves so may avoid involvement in a group.
